Remote Starter

So I decided that I wanted a remote starter for my car for the winter. The reason I want it is so that I can start my car from my apartment window in the morning to warm up while Im still getting dressed. The car is 1999 Accord EX V6 with 156K on it. I really dont care for the security part of it. I am just looking some something inexpensive and reliable and that wont screw up car. Any suggestions???

im in the same boat. just hit up the alarm shops. i got a few quotes so far, 2 way alarm/remote starte $600-$800 installed, just remote $250-$500 installed .

i think the thing is with the security is that it comes with all the remote starters. you start the car and if someone tries to jump in and go, they hit the brakes, it kills the car, lol

Torny, I think my mom and her BF got back together. I'll get on the RS for you when I'm in NH next. Might be a tad more expensive than what Kevin and I paid though.

$800 I paid $120(ebay) for my viper 4 yrs ago. Got installed by a friend who's an installer at circuit city....I would say for just remote start should run u around $200-$300

These prices sound kind of high. I see signs for these small audio shops in NYC for remote starters $100 installed. I guess I might just have to check one of these places out. Im always a little hesistant about going to these sketchy small NYC car audio places but i guess it doesnt hurt to check it out.
