For the 3rd time in a week, my car would shut off right after being started...then be all good if i revv high for a few miles and go on my way.

I had the intake everything cleaned about a month ago, so after reading for like 3 hours thought i might as well try...

Local honda stealership charged me 95$ with tax for the bloody thing. Yes, I called around, and no, internet was not an option because i would have to wait like 4 weeks, and pay almost the same anyway =(

But yeah, cut up my hand while doing so, replaced, and hopefully this doesn't happen anymore...=(

Just a huge thanks to everyone on this forum who help out on a regular basis...heh. I'll donate as soon as I pay off the freaking 100$ relay :ugh:

It started fine after replacing the relay...

I took apart the old relay, but I can't tell if it's broken or not. It is the dreaded Siemens one though, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt...lol.

Relays usually never go out, unless they are exposed to water. Now, the turn signal relays go out a lot. Just because the open and close a lot.

It was the next (expensive) step in trying to figure out this low-idle -> shut off problem...heh.

This car is like a child lol. You give it nice things and play with it, but when its acting up you want to...:smash:

I remember replacing mine, for the infamous "won't start when the cabin's hot" syndrome.

NOT a fun job, on your back trying to get under the dash; can't see what you're doing and can't get your hands where they need to go.

Hope that does it for you.

Yeah, it was a major problem for me since mine would shut off while I was cruising on the highway. Very dangerous. Replacing mine fixed it though.

Hope you're in the clear now.

I agree, save for the main relay on our cars. They are known for having solder points go out after some time.

Yeah, although it's only been a few days, car doesn't have that problem anymore...

It's just hugely frustrating not to have your car start randomly lol.

Kudos to whomever found this problem first...I never would have guessed if it weren't for 6Ga :peace:
