yea, ive dynod it already, but we wont talk about that LOL.

when i get back to shcool, the clutch will be broken in, ill drop my car at my tuner so he can do my oil lines and my oil pan (since im waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too lazy and fed up with working on the engine to do it myself, and id rather give him the business since hes a good friend and a really, REALLY great guy) and then shortly after that, DYNO TIME.

the car needs tuning badly. itll missfire starting up in the cold, vtec engages at 4000 rpms, the engine just runs like poop. but still, the car is making some torque! i love it. im expecting about 220~230hp with matching torque figures, but hoping to make 250 at 9psi.

this summer, our newest turbo accord owner Stinker, will hopefully be recycling his old block and making me a nice new built bottom end. i was planning on leaving the bore alone, but im thinking of taking it up to around 2.5 litrers if possible, and really going crazy with the bottom end. but, that all depends on money, and what shape the cars in by that time.

but yea, ill be dynoing it very, very soon, in fact, i may take a trip to a local dyno just to get an idea of what the new exhaust has done for my power. now that ive fixed the overboosting issue, the engine itself is running better than it was, and the car is genearlly running 1000x better, i have high hopes for it.

this week ill be getting my new suspension done, my brakes done and ill be done with any performance mods til the car is 100% running... but, that doesnt mean i wont be modding it more. i may try and weasel my mom into getting me one, or maybe 2 if im lucky, new seats for my car, and if not that, ill be supplying myself with plenty of carbon fiber replacement parts for the car, since it needs to look the part as well.

so i decided to go get a spring compressor and start doing the suspension today... that was a failure, i forgot my alan wrench set back at school so i couldnt even get the strut bar off... and to make things worse, i found out why my car has been making some grinding noises at low rpms, it was just like a light grinding like something rubbing against the axle or the rotor...

so, anyone guess what it was??

... torn CV boot. my brake line bracket had come loose, fallen down into th area of the CV boot and started to tear it. when i took it out, it was properly jammed in there, i could barely get it out. there was cv boot grease everywhere. it was covering most of the brake lines, had sprayed the entire inside of the wheel and most of the fender well. i think im going to email napa and see if theyll replace it, and say idk why it happened, since its pretty new, and i dont want to spend another 100 from them for it, although autozone has it cheap, so if they wont replace it, ill go get a new one. oh well, at least i found it before the axle blew up.

i probably shouldnt drive the car, but im gonna anyway LOL. other than that, cars good. i may attempt the oil lines this break, i saw how bad the return is and i dont think its doing the turbo any good, so ill probably get on that.

thanks guys. jus to give you an idea of how the car is right now:

clutch is broken in, daily driving it FINALLY, after nearly 6 months of no car, its running great. however, i have a few things left to do before tuning.... i have to install the new oil line and the new oil pan, which i need to get tapped and the fitting welded, and i need to install my romulator, which takes 10 minutes. when thats done, well be doing the cold start and partial throttle tuning on the street, and from there, well be going to te dyno, turning the boost up to 9psi and then tuning it for max power. the car could easily be running 9 psi safely on the crappy tune i have now, i run so rich id still be at a perfect A/F if i ran a few more pounds, i just dont want to lol. the car will be so fast when its off the dyno, i wont know wtf to do haha. at least now i can drive it, and im not scared to really tear it up, so ill appreciate the added power a lot more.

i also have to do a few interior things, like LED's... some of mine blew and i cant be ****ed to do it all again so ill order the damn kit from that site unless i can easily repair whatever went wrong with my current led's.

if someone wanted to do my led's id give them my old CAI for free. i dont have much money and i cant afford to spend a ton when i know ill have a 200 dollar bill to pay to my tuner.

but other than that, the cars great. theres some things i know ill be upgrading soon, i just need to earn some money to do so. and now that my gf has said its ok for me to choose something for my car for my birthday, its on. i may be getting a CF hood from her, or, maybe a single racing seat. i think that would be a pretty sweet purchase either way. give me more suggestoins on what to get. limits like 350-400 so be reasonable.

I saw that you are running 18's, do you have some 15's you could use? U'll gain a crapload of speed if you use 'em. :p

What about a CF trunklid? Lightweight battery (15 pounds)?
Do you have upgraded engine and tranny mounts?

Also, i would get rid of your Autometer A/F gauge and replace it with a fuel pressure gauge.

What about a heat shield for the intake and radiator hose? The radiator hose looks awfully close to the exhaust manifold/turbo.

What is that foam thing over your PS bottle? I want one. :)

If your going to get a hood I would suggest a vented one.
How bout an exhaust gas temperature gauge?

lol thanks for the comments. as it is, i have a fuel pressure gauge, but why have a fuel line running right into the cabin!!! besides, tuning the fuel pressure happens under the hood so the gauge is normally mounted there, mine if you look is on the fuel return line, because as you know, hondas use a return system.

also, the af is not just a regular gauge, its converted to measure wideband signal from my plx wideband. so, when i drive, i can look down and see instantly if its rich or lean, as looking at a number like on my plx always confuses me, and its a nice visual aid too.

when i get a hood, im thinking about getting a vented one, maybe with the sort of inverted vent like the top secret r34 hood... but then again, i hate vents, and my engine gets such good airflow as it is, its not much of a concern for me. with my newly opened up grille, and the fact that my fans are wired to be on all the time to prevent the car ever overheating, the car stays pretty cool. the engine wont ever go above 185 degrees.

and the radiator hose, its not that close to the manifold, it just looks it in the photos.

and the egt... yes, i plan on buying one, i just dont need it yet, my tuner has his own methods and doesnt need an EGT at this point. however, when im built and i start running really high boost and have to mess with a lot of timing, ill get an egt.
