is that extra 10mm between 225 and 235 really gonna give u noticeably better traction?/QUOTE]
I don't know if it will be noticeable but I know for a fact it will help out with accelerating, cornering, and braking. Which is basically everything. Why do you think race cars use fender flares and wide-body kits? So they can run wider tires, because contact patch will affect every aspect of performance. Plus tires in that size are cheaper and if I'm getting new wheels and tires anyway why not increase performance by going with a 235?
Why do people buy intakes, exhaust systems, headers, or take out interior parts for weight reduction? Is it really a noticeable performance increase? Not really but every little bit helps and it all adds up. Same goes for a lot of parts that people buy for hondas.
race cars use what they use because its functional, and they have wider bodies and flares because the tires they use have a bit more than 10mm difference between them
i doubt your car is going to be 100% built for racing, if it is then i'd just buy something RWD and more suitable for the track...
i get your point but i hope you see where im coming from as well
but if they are cheaper for 235 then go for it, but honestly given that you might take the car to track days and etc i dont think it'll make much of a difference at all
