I would go with IACV umm as far as it being the CAT? i would highly doubt it being that. The cat system is suppose to last the life of the vehicle but i mean don't get me wrong there is always a possibility of it actually being clogged...

i just cleaned my IAC valve on my s2k today...it was nastay..now idle/rev is smoother....haven't driven it yet

same problem happened to my coupe...replaced seal and cleaned IAC valve....now shes smooth like butta....

does any one have a picture of the location of the IAC valve?

yea i had this problem also, i went through 6 bottles of fuel injector cleaner every time i gased up and then i seafoamed my car and after that i didnt have a problem anymore.

where exactly is the IAC valve and what do i clean it with? im plannin on doing it tonight just to see if that solves my prob. i stalled today at a dam light point is its very FRUSTRATING!

im not really familiar with you guys' motors..but it should be held on by 2 10mm bolts and have 2 small coolant hoses going to it...on the backside of the the intake manifold somewhere....you undo the bolts...and spray carb cleaner in there...i even used a couple qtips on it to break up more debris...then reinstall...

be advised you will lose a little coolant and your car might take a few extra seconds to start...mine did but after that started up everytime...
