Sideskirt comparisons:

So yeah, that's my i'm mounting it over the stock sides. I guess you could use sheet metal screws to and screw it into the sill but it wouldn't be very strong, crack, and it's not reversible.

ya the sideskirt design is no surprise to me..i use to have a bodykit and the sideskirts where the most stupidest thing ever to try to work with to fit onto the car.

but ya most people just attach them over there factory ones and seal the edges..and after its painted looks like 1 peice if done properly.

Well, luckily i did my homework and expected this. But yeah, it's just an easy way to do it. It would take either 2 molds, to be clean, about 8. It's fine though, you could probably mount them straight on without using your stock stuff but you would have to drill into your rockers.

So the bottom one is the replica? It looks so small. And this is a shot from the interior?

You have any shots from the exteriors?

I don't know what they were thinking designing this. I guess they just wanted us to put all our trust on double-sided tape. :ugh:

Again, like in my last post, it's a very cost effective way. I don't care because i knew all about this before i bought it. However, they should advertise this.

The new fits over the old pretty much perfectly, after you cut the ends of you old off. Both have been test fitted and fit quite well. The one issue is the top where you can see under the door. It's slightly too short, due to the fact you put the stock one inside, and it's not quite perfect. It will look fine when i'm done.

I'm actually decently far on one already. I'll be at the same point with the other tomorrow.

Instead of using doublesided tape, i'm using urathane adhesive for windows. It's a pretty common way to bond urathane to fiberglass and is stronger than double sided tape (and cheaper as well).

This is the only picture of the side i have right now. It's bad, i was trying to get some advice on how to modify the rear to fit an 02 better but i think i've figured it out myself.

Anyway, bad picture but fitment is actually quite good.

Wow it looks great from that angle, and it looks like it's all coming together real nicely.

Best of luck with the other side as well.

Lol, it's barely started. That side is was just to test fit, the other side is curing. Now that i'm going to modify the rear, this has become a huge project. So the sides are actually going to be the very easy part. I don't even want to think about the front right now. I should just swap the rear bumper but it's either time or money. I got time, i don't really have the money.

I cut the ends of the oem sides. This is how i chose to do it. Your other alternative would be to drill into the rockers. I was not going to do that.

When you open the door it looks fine. Depending on how much body work i do there, you may be able to tell, maybe not. My sides will not be on the car for accouple of days.

Are you doing this yourself or taking it to a body shop? They may have better ideas, this is how i'm doing it. Realistically, it seems like the way to make it as OEM as possible, easy to take on an off, etc.
