i dont think it could be offset if it's only 35, and not lowered. Does it sound like plastic or metal rubbing?

Most rims have the offset etc embossed on the back of one of the spokes.

You will want 215/50/17 tires to keep factory diameter and your speedo accurate. Just so happens I have some for sale that are like new if you're interested. :naughty:

I'm definitely interested. how much? :hihi:

lol i only rub on like 25-30 mph fast corner turns. not the 90 degrees ones. :ownedrun:

This is exactly what happens to me. only right hand turn though.

i dont think it could be offset if it's only 35, and not lowered. Does it sound like plastic or metal rubbing?

does not sound like metal to metal thats for sure. More like plastic i think.

Thanks for all the help guys. this is driving me nuts.

It's going to be the bumper tabs. It always is. 35 offset is really low. For Accord's yet want 40 to 50. The only way 35 would work is if your slammed to the ground with mad camber.

Start with cutting the tabs though.

I'd lean more towards a 45 series side wall. I run 225/45/17s and they sit flush. But I also run a 40 offset wheel.

EPIC FAIL..........

OK I feel really dumb....:dunce::dunce::dunce: I spent some time with my rims tonight. Put the car on jack stands and pulled the rims. They are 40 offset so I'm clearing everything just fine. put them back on and spun the tire by hand.........drum roll............. It's my brake drums!!:eusa_wall:

I guess I just couldn't hear them with the stock rims on or had the stereo too loud. So now I just gotta do the brakes this weekend and I'll be good to go. I feel like an idiot but thanks all for the information. I'm well aware of what to look for when I drop the car now.

Ok done some more digging. My stock rims were 45 offset.

dont know where you dug that one up, but no, they werent.

for the wheels you do have the +40 offset, is pretty close to the limit, haha. with an offset like that its expected that you will rub tires on the rear bumper tabs in the wheel wells. you really will once you get some proper sized tires on there, especially on stock suspension cuz its so soft. the only way to correct it is to lower the car, shave back the bumper tabs, and run some camber.

lol, just read about the brake drums, haha. oh well, at least you figured it out.
