Two weeks for a CHP report? I'd start having the damage assessed ASAP so you're ready worse case but do call and bug their insurance company about the incident, tell em' you need a car ASAP and you need to have them come out and start their estimate since you're not the party at fault. Call up CHP and tell them you need a report ASAP and you'll come down and pick it up in person. Be sure to show urgency in the matter so everyone doesn't sit on their butt and do nothing. I'll show the picture to my body guy, if you can take some of the hood open that would be great to better see the damage.

Wait.. "their" insurance company? I didn't even have a chance to freaking talk to the other dude.. the cops came RIGHT away and freaking was like.. "don't talk to anyone except the cops who are asking you questions."

So I dont even have that guy's insurance company or even his damn name FFS.

Oh and I dont know if I'm at fault, we haven't assessed that yet.

Take a bunch of photos, hassle the CHP for that report and get your car fixed. If it is determined that he was at fault, get your money back from that insurance company and give em all the photos and at least 2 other estimates from other repair shops including the repair invoice.

by visual inspections it looks like the Frame is ok.......doesn't look like the engine was dislocated.....perhaps the passenger side mount might be weakened......definitely fixable.......lucky the car was scathed at an angle rather than direct impact

good luck with everything .....don't let the car go without second thoughts

Fix it Steve, your other options dont seem as good IMO. Use this to your advantage so you dont feel bad about it later when thinking about it.

Sucks to see your car like that man. But in my opinion this is an opportunity to get it fixed and like others said, repainted the same color or different if you want. Maybe even do some custom front end work?? Maybe you can try and get an oem kit this time or something different.
