no, I'm Irish. I just studied it in school and after that I got big into using things involving Japanese text and language (i.e. video games, anime), so it just kind of grew on me after years of seeing the same things.

and yeah, it's no cake walk.

to be honest, only Chinese people are badass enough among the asian races to do stuff like this on a regular basis
