does anybody know of another e brake that will swap into our cars but shorter without much modification? Im redoing some leds in the center console and decided to get a different shifter knob and shorten it but the e brake is a little more complicated to cut down with the button and all. I tried searching all i could find were threads on the shifter knob.

I personally don't know about a direct swap. I do know how it works and you would either need something that pulls up higher or shorten the cables. I think your best bet would be to shorten the stock one, cut out how much you need, weld it back in the middle, and adjust the cables. Probably more work than it's worth for cosmetics but it's doable.

Where would you want the button? It seems like most cars have it in the same place.

Cutting it wouldn't be hard. If I remember correctly, I can see two cuts and a few welds and call it a day. I did something similar on something else and it cost me maybe $10 for the welding. Then shorten the cable. I haven't had my ebrake off in forever but as I recall, it would work and only take like 1-2 hours at most, where trying to fit something else in may take a lot longer.

You would have to cut the ebrake cover down but you could cover it in something like this- http://www.redlinegoods.com/DSM2shiftboot.php

ya i dont have any experience welding so thats why i think i dont feel too comfortable with cutting it and then rewelding it lol isnt there like a quick release e brake that drifters use that just pulls up no button? that way you could make it short as hell and not have to worry about reattaching a button after you cut it down lol it seems like apita so i prob wont do it since i dont want it looked ghetto rigged

I don't either but I took something similar to a shop, had them do it, I just marked it. Or get one on ebay or something.
