This is a follow-up to my question about which trailer hitch I should buy; I've got a '99 EXV6 Accord and will be moving across the country next month. I'll be towing a trailer with some furniture in it, and knowing the issues that transmission has had, I've been seriously considering installing an auxiliary transmission cooler. I've been looking at this one in particular: http://www.autocarparts.com/part/937/3/

Is this much bigger/better than the stock cooler? Is there another one I should get instead that'd be better for my needs?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Good question... If someone could answer this, would this work on the 4 banger?

Yes? If its good for those running a supercharger I'm pretty sure its fine for you towing your trailer.

I went and ordered the Comptech cooler (which I suspect is a B&M cooler with some cool bracketry to make integration awesome) and eagerly await its arrival.

What I'm thinking now is whether I should completely bypass the stock cooler (as the Comptech directions instruct) or should I run them in series? I'm thinking I'd have the fluid flow first through the stock cooler and then again through the Comptech cooler before it returns to the transmission. The only problem is that I don't know which tube is the send and which tube is the return from the trans and my Haynes manual doesn't help much with regard to that.

Anyone have any thoughts about running both coolers in series? I know that on the Odyssey using the Honda cooler that is installed for towing packages, it runs in series so it can't be a terrible thing.

Anyone know which tube is which?

Thanks!
