Should I uninstall my second battery?

As of this point, I don't think it is necessary to power my audio system consisting of 2 amps (62.5x2 + 360x1 watts rms). Reason is that I am finding that I have to hook up the battery to a charger weekly. My 1 farad capacitor shows voltage between 10-12 V when I'm listening to music after a full charge.

The battery up front doesn't require this maintenance. It's always charged fully.

I have a 7 year old high output alternator (150 amps) from alterstart (eBay) and two Odyssey PC1500 batteries. Big 3 has also been completed with 0 gauge wires. My system is being powered with a 4 gauge dual amp installed 10 years ago.

Personally I am thinking that the battery up front is being powered sufficiently with the alternator and not enough to power the second battery via the isolator. Since the system is only about 500 watts RMS I believe this should be enough for the one battery.

haha de-install...

anyways, i rarely see people actually needing two batteries for their systems... so imo, i'd say give it a shot and go ahead.

It's uninstall :lawl:

But yeah, give it a shot and see how well one battery handles the power.

Should I go back to an OEM alternator when this one goes? I have a 4cyl so I cannot fit the Honda Odyssey alternator.

Without getting another high output alternator, where is a good place to get a Denso for a good price? eBay seems to only have remanufactured ones so I'm not sure if these are good enough. I found a used one on car-part.com for $30 local. Also I saw hondapartsnow.com which has them for $180

Or should I just buy another eBay high output alternator if I need to replace mine? I've seen one for $144 that produces 165 amps and direct fit with no modification required. Although I've read in another thread that the high output ones just rewind the internal parts which decrease the life of the alternator.
