i live in victorville, and work at riverside. only way to go to work/go back to home is to take 15, or 215 and then 15(they both merge on like halfway to my house).
15 and 215 was closed on monday. now detour was through big bear. i wasnt about to go through 4-6hrs of traffic/detour just to go home and risk not be able to go to work next day. so i spent a night at diamond bar, my frnd's house.
yesterday, tuesday, i had to get outta work early, because i knew by the time i get outta work, 15 will close down due to no visibility. while i was driving up the hill, the smoke/ashes were insane......i saw no sunlight first of all, second, i saw at least 10 fire trucks fighting against fires on the border of freeway to prevent further spreading of fire.
my hid retro did help me alot to spot many road hazard as well; broken wood branch, flying/boucing pebbles on the freeway (felt like playing dodging game or something....LOL)
my hope/prayer goes to everyone who lost their house, family member, as well as those who had to leave their loving home behind and evacuate.
