how much did all this run you?

too much. including full tranny lsd and motor... probably in the ballpark of 3100.
plus aftermarkets
plus changes we had to make timing mount
plus p28 and fee to get it chipped, conversion harness.
keep it mind this is CDN

and i still haven't dynotuned it yet.... im scared to push the engine until i do. this whole lack of a knock sensor and egr the p28 has going on scares me.

....

.. i wouldn't do thing differently if i could go back though =D

thanks guys. its been a hell of a ride just getting it swapped.

$3100....wow.....A J37 + S/C + 6spd swap got me a $10K-$12K quote from the man himself, Paul(NVA-AV6).

Consider that swap a real bargain.

After the first week the jdm swap doing the shop realised how much they unquoted me. Stuck be the original price though

Always good to see a shop stand by it's word.

Happened to a buddy of mine when it came to repainting his Teg.

Did they tell you how much it should have been?

since i've posted three or more threads about this swap, i figured i'd follow up and just say it's done.

H22a into 98 i4 coupe.
other work done in the process
ACT 9.9 pound flywheel (jesus it gave me a shock how temperamental the tranny is now)
Magna flo hi flow cat
magnaflow catback exhaust
AEM cai
timing belt water pump blah blah blah
chipped to p28(needs to be dyno tuned before i'm going to push it past 4k, since i don't have a knock sensor or anything that would give me a red light on the EGR)
obd2b -> obd1 conversion
lots, and lots of love

small work to be done this week
i'll be getting new plug wires (mainly because i hate the blue, but there is a small crack in one of the wires)
ngk iridium plugs (any suggestions guys? on spacing and what plugs to use)
dyno tune
possibly headers, i dont really think it would make much of a performance difference.

all in all, as expensive as it was i'm pleased with the results. the h22 is a damn peppy engine. keeping it under 4k consistently until i hit the dyno has proved difficult, perhaps a result of the light as **** flywheel?
it's not loud (i was hoping it wouldn't be.) but it has a nice little purr in the lower rpms. idles pretty low at 5-600 when warmed up (possibly a result of the basemap, will find out at the dynotune.)

i'm happy. after some small modifications it is now time to redo my interior and exterior, courtesy of the wonderful DIY's by the members here.
