With the 17's/18's and Sportlines(paired with Yellows), you will be fine.

It will leave you with about a 1.5 finger gap, so you can leave your fenders alone.

I just looked at the function form website and I am interested in the type 1's... I got a quote today from a local shop to swap out my springs and struts... $445 @ $89 per hr x 5, lol. I figure I will save some real dough and get coilovers and install them myself.

Are the Type 1's lower on their highest setting than the h&r race? If so, they are not a good option for me.

FnF Type 1s would probably be too stiff if you're wanting ride quality. Honestly if I just wanted a moderate drop, and wanted to retain ride quality I wouldn't get Type 1s again, but I got these because they'll slam your car.

Most people seem to be pretty content with a coilover sleeve and Koni Yellows, more specifically Ground Control coilover sleeves, if you wanted to give those a little research.

edit: I couldn't tell you the highest setting on these though, as I've never raised mine. Someone might know though, but i'm pretty sure the highest setting is still a pretty decent drop.

You will be fine. I bought 17x7 and 45 offset Enkei EV5 with 225/45/17 Uniroyal Tigerpaw tires for my car, and it fits just fine.
