thanks guys. sorry i haven't been on forever i've been super busy now that it's summer and everything. but thanks again for the input. haha. sometimes i forget what my engine looks like until i see this thread though.

so i decided that my engine bay was way too plain, and then got to work. It still needs another coat or 2 but i'm out of paint.

dropped the idea of the sticky adhesive stuff

i used tire cleaner al over my engine bay (trying not to hit any wires/electrical) and it was alll shiny :thumbup:

looks good by the way.. my dad got some red paint for one of his projects, i might have to steal some now :action-smiley-042:

Dusty engine bay + stock intake... sorry I'm not feeling it .

Maybe if the engine bay had been wiped down, or sprayed with some armor all (takes like 5 mins to do) but that engine bay looks pretty dirty.

It's like saying "hey guys check out my CPU cooler" and posting this

It looks good, you did a good job on painting it. But i agree it should of been cleaned for a proper pic. You can get a bucket with a little bit of soap and water and rags. Wipe it down then get some detailer and wipe it down again. armor all is a little greasy but shine's better, more for the used car salesman trying to make the engine look better for a sale.lol
