Out of curiosity, what happened with the other driver since you didn't have insurance? Was anyone injured?

Honestly, she took off around the corner and called the cops there. I didnt even get to see or speak to her. I feel really bad for what happen, but im just expecting a phone call or letter from her insurance company to sue or something. Im actually willing to pay for the repair myself if i can get ahold of her.

Damn bro that sucks. At least you're ok though. Now you cant make the meet :thumbsdown:

Yea i know, 3 days away from new years too. But im not gon let it bring me down, its more motivation to build it back up

Sorry this happened but that is the risk you take when you get behind the wheel. Everything can change in a few seconds.

I have fixed worse than this but it would probably total unless you opt to fix it yourself. Hopefully you can get insurance for it before your court date and without much hassle.

I am thankful that you're alright. Good luck with everything.

Yea, i actually am gon fix it myself. Once i get my paycheck, im ordering new radiator support and all the other things that need replacement. But thanks, jus have a bruised knee and chest pain. The air bag hit me so hard, it left the stitching imprint on my hoodie haha

Yea, im hoping the fact that ill be getting insurance after and im fixing it myself, it wont be considered a loss.

There is a ton more but as far as I can see here is a short list.

A/C Condenser
A/C Receiver dryer
A/C Lines that were damaged
Radiator
Core Support
bumper support
headlights
hood
hood latch release and cables
fenders(The inner fenders will need to be pulled or "massaged" back into place for the new ones to fit properly)
possibly impact sensors for airbag
airbags and covers
wheel well liners if you want to
bumper support/impact shocks *optional

Much more than I can think of at the moment but it will cost a pretty penny. Id say get as much as you can from the bone yard if you have one nearby or even buy a beat up donor car and use that.

Not only that your front end is not straight anymore. After like 3 rear ends I have this ugly gap between hood and front bumper. Also bumper and headlights don't sit nice anymore. Everything is not straight. So to get it all straight will cost a lot I assume. I agree to get a donor and just swap everything. That's what I plan to do cuz I got in my wreck yesterday.

I bought my car with a slightly crashed front end (not as severe as yours) and pulled the whole front end back out and did a 98-00 coupe conversion. Fixed as much as I could. Got a alignment done and they said it will permanently pull to the right because toe is out slightly from damage.. Luckily I bought the front bumper and new hood for 160$ with shipping. I tell you this before you put all the work in repairing it. Frame could be damaged. My SRS light is on to.. BTW look up 6th gen accords AC unit dripping on passenger subframe before spending abunch of $$ on those parts. Good luck happy new year!

This is definitely important. DBO, I would make sure you don't have any frame damage before building it, safety first. But if you find you don't have any damage the build would be awesome. As Napoleon Hill says, "Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit."
I'm sorry again DBO, but stay positive!

yea that does look like alot already, but judging by how cold cali is right now, i think i can go about without the ac unit for awhile

im planning to take it to a collision shop for all repairs and straightening out things. From the naked eye, it doesnt look like much was bent except my radiator support. I thought about a donor car too, but working part time for minimum wage dont give me that option.

yea, mine was in the same boat when i bought it last october of 2014. the old owner said a truck backed into it. only the right side of the radiator support was bent, so i just pulled it back out. it had a lil gap here and there but i didnt mind. just looked that up, sounds scary. question is, is our subframe bolted on or welded? i read somewhere on the forum that our cars are unibody, does that mean, everything on it is welded? or am i wrong?

yea, i definitely needa get under my car for a full inspection. sounds really scary from what you guys are telling me. makes me not even wanna add ac back on haha. but thanks, i will. im hoping theres no other damage, i cant afford to buy another car and i had big dreams for this one. but if i had to, ill be in search of another 5 speed CG of course. Im thinkin v6 sedan, but i dont want to have to deal with the transmission issues. Working part time at minimum wage will put me in debt if i have to go thru all that.

Oh and good news, i checked my subframe, there doesnt seem to be any sign of rust. And to prevent it from happening in the future, im just going to go the a/c and p/s delete route. Itll save me some cash, i wont need a/c anytime soon and p/s is whatever, i dont mind build forearm muscles haha.

You are in for a daunting task my friend. Just keep in mind even though the frame and subframe may look straight, its most likely tweaked. Not noticeable to the naked eye but its probably not square any more. If you can at least get it derivable I would just do the minimum until you can afford another car.

Here is a pic album of my truck that I fixed back when I was rear ended into another car. All junk yard parts and no garage knocked it out in 3 days (I worked at a body shop doing collision repair for a about 3 years when I was younger so that helped) in the street with an extension chord from my apartment to my welder, haha.

The album has some random pics of when I first got it and did some work to it but the crash fix is in there
