sb001, I am really disappointed that a member like you is on this great forum. For you to say why do we care about his well being is really inhumane. I am sorry but that attitude shouldn't belong here. Even if he was going a little faster than he should of you should never say something like that. We are a community here and we should all be concerned about each others well-being no matter what. If you don't care for what happened to DBO, so be it, just keep it to yourself.

OK I'll ask the hard questions here-- why were you obviously driving way too fast for conditions? (Only way that kind of damage happens.) Why don't you have insurance? How did you even get the car registered/ tagged without it?? What makes you think you're going to be able to get insurance now, after telling any company you call what just happened? What in the WORLD makes you think you can fix that adequately??
And finally, why is everyone here concerned for your well being and saying good luck with court when you honestly DESERVE what you're about to get?? What about the other driver, who hopefully had uninsured/underinsured motorist protection? What about well wishes for HER, who was minding her own business when you plowed into her at a high rate of speed?
You deserve what you got man.

Whoa, I'm sorry if you had a bad day and this thread happen to be the first you see and wanna blast on. 1. I was going 20-25 mph coming to a stop. That's what? 15-20 mph below the 40 mph limit and i was braking from a distance. My car happen to slid all the way into her. If you don't believe me, that's fine. You want proof i was trying to slow down, you can go see the skid marks that started 3-4 car length back, i have nothing to hide. Yes, i hit the lady, did i mean to? Of course not. Did i try to prevent it? Of course i tried. You try driving in the rain and stopping and your brakes lock up on you and tell me if your car stops. 2. Insurance wise, I used to have it but **** got expensive for someone making 9 bucks a hr. I obviously wasn't planning to go forever without insurance, i just happen to get into a accident while i was uninsured. And for all we know, you're probably uninsured too, I mean, do any of us know you personally? People do love making up their lives nowadays, it is the internet. As for everyone not being rude, i can careless if anyone don't wish me well and luck, but the fact that they did, i appreciate it. I'm not here to ask for sympathy from anyone. I just happen to want to share it with a community that has similar interest as me. High rate of speed? Hahaha its obvious you wont believe me, but ill just put it out there that everyone of my family and friends knows my driving. Everyone trusts my driving. I trust my driving. If i was a reckless driver like you accuse me of, maybe my friends a idiot for lending me prized possession to drive around while mines out of commission. Like i said before, i feel really bad for the lady i hit. I know i ****ed up her day, the rest of 2015 for her, and her car, but it wasn't like it was intentional. And i know the point you're trying to get across, yea i shouldn't be driving without insurance. But when you have one car and you have to get to work to make money, you just gotta take the risk sometimes. But don't worry, your lil rant is not bothering me. I'm only replying back because you seem like you wanted to start a conversation. In the great words of the man, Justin Bieber himself, "Is it too late to say sorry?"

Rawcarnage, beside the things I've mention, i haven't found anything else yet. I'm just going to have a professional check it out so i don't miss anything.

And thanks for backing me up raw and cali, but its alright guys, I'm not bother by his comments. People say whatever they want, we're all adults, let him be him. If it helps him sleep at night to go tell someone they deserve something bad, so be it. But on another note, Happy New Years fellas, wish the best for everyone on this forum, even you sb001. Lets not start the year being bitter now.

PLUR Life Everyone

PEACE LOVE UNITY RESPECT
:peace:  :High 5: :handshake:

All my ravers would know about this hahaha

You may want to take it to a professional to really be sure. I'm sure the cost would be reasonable. Are there v6 sedan manuals? If not, you may need a swap, I believe RedRyder did that!
I understand that man, it will work out with research planning and a little luck!

I wish they sold a manual v6 sedan, let alone a manual v6 cg haha. I think alot of us wouldve jumped on it from the start. But the swap redryder did is way outta my budget, maybe in the future. And thanks, i already have a seller thats willing to sell me everything i need for a real low price. And its all oem parts. The dude has a crash 2000 coupe that he wont sell as a whole. Guess he wants to make more money parting it out

That sux man......Time for a TL front end conversion

LOL i would love to see how that looks actually

STOP TALKING ABOUT FIXING YOUR CAR UNTIL YOU HAVE INSURANCE!!!!!
Don't know how much more clear I can be. Everyone that's feeling sorry for this guy, do you all not realize that what he did is the reason ALL our rates go up??? And now you're talking about V6s when you couldn't handle the car you were driving???
start walking or take the damn bus, I assume you owned this car outright so you could have gotten liability only, insurance would be what $40/month? Now you're talking about actually fixing this heap which is probably going to cost hundreds if not thousands but you claim you can't afford insurance???? Yeah right bro.

They did, in 2006 and 2007 (last 2 years of 7th gen Accord.)

Lmao you need to chill bro. DBO's car just got trashed and he is paying for his mistake. Cut the guy some slack. As for this community it rises to the occasion when members are being stupid and reckless.

Man sb001, you just don't stop do you. He already said he was going less than the speed limit and it was raining so how is it his fault if his wheels locked up? Should he have tried to swerve and maybe go into oncoming traffic? He did nothing wrong, accidents always happen and there was nothing he could have done if his wheels locked up. I was going 50 mph on the freeway last month in the rain and my car started to hydroplane. I almost swerved into a semi truck but that would have been my fault if I crashed into the semi and got seriously injured or killed, right?

Yea, the dude obviously didnt know that i was the one that called the cops on myself. I made the choice knowing the consequences of not being insured. There was no denying the accident was my fault of course. I couldve easily said, I was minding my own business when some lady decided to cut me off. But no I didnt, I stepped up to the plate, I took responsibilties for my own action, but he'll never know that, since he lives in a one sided world where if you fawked up, you're automatically wrong. Haha

They did, in 2006 and 2007 (last 2 years of 7th gen Accord.)

Im sorry, but did you want a cookie?

But let it be known, yes i did say i couldnt afford insurance so i did cut it off. Yes, i did get into an accident while i was uninsured, but that didnt mean i wasnt shopping around for one. And if you can find me full coverage for $40/month, please point me to that direction, itll be very helpful. You know, i need that full coverage just incase something like this happens, or in my case, again haha.

Cali and raw, just let him be, the guy wont quit. Theres no point in arguing with someone thats so hard headed and quick to judge haha. I mean, are we still in high school? Haha.

Why would you need full insurance?? I don't have it on my 98 Accord-- liability only. Do you even know what LIABILITY is??? It's way cheaper than full comprehensive and it would have covered you in this situation.

Oh and to all those who are trying to make excuses for his wheels locking up, the ONLY reason your wheels lock up and you smash into someone from behind are a) you're following too close and the car in front of you slams their brakes on OR b) you approach a stopped vehicle at way too fast a speed. Were you looking down adjusting your subwoofer volume?? You seem the type, you know young and dumb. Which also explains why you think you can fix this wreck and are going to pour tons of cash at it which means you obviously HAD the opportunity to buy insurance (even though you clearly don't know how it works, which makes me wonder if you've EVER had it.)

^Probably going a little too far with it. He needs car insurance. Explain what liability is. Maybe he honestly doesn't know. No reason for name calling or racial profiling.

With that being said, I see no issue with discussing future plans. If he goes through with restoring his car, this thread could aid people that either wreck or buy a wrecked Accord.
