How much to find an H22 and swap for my i4 manual?
Hey everyone, $2500 is not a bad price. I just did a 6GA white sedan for $2000 (Khan's) too cheap but possible. Consider that this is not as easy as it seems even though most of the parts transfer over without any modifications. A lot of time is needed to make the necessary holes and wiring are done correctly. Ignition Key Programing is required for the new ECU. Below is a list of necessary parts:
Manual Transmission
Clutch Kit
Flywheel
Complete Slave Cylinder Assembly w/fluid lines
Shifter Assembly (complete, center console)
Shifter cables
Front Left Axle
Starter Motor
ECU (manual w/vin#)
Speed Sensor (VSS)
Reverse Switch (on trans.)
Transmission Mount
Pedal Assembly with Switches
Misc. bolts (you'll be missing a few I'm sure)
If all of these parts come off the same vehicle it will be cheaper to do than if you have to buy some new or used off other cars. It adds up, trust me. The labor to do this swap is about $750 minimum; consider another $100 to program 5sp computer to key. I paid $800 for most of the parts on the list and not including a new clutch kit, starter and axle to complete the job so it came up just shy of $2000 on Khan's Accord. Note: Some of the used parts may need to be replaced so price can/will vary. Hope this helps and visit us online.

all the parts from import auto is new, reason being that its $2500... i think khan provided some parts himself for ken, that's why it was $2000 for them.

LOL... not jackin', just clarifying. I purchased all the parts for khan and sold them at cost, incl. the new parts we were missing. That's why I said that $2500 was not a bad deal considering all the parts and work involved... Khan got away with a killer deal IMO but worth the learning experience. I would charge $2500 for the next job minimum again.

Well, just to verify what ken says is true. Yes, he did do my swap, and yes, i did get a killer deal, and the reason for that is because i think i'm the first customer he did the swap for. So he gave me a killer deal right right, plz say yes lol. But ya in the end, everything add up to around that price $2500.
