How many are there and what trims did they come in?

My 01 v6 coupe has amber needles. Cluster was replaced so im not sure what color the originals were. Ive seen yellow needles, and i think i heard that there are red needles....? All i found searching was stuff about LED conversions, cluster swaps and people looking to change needle color but no one mentioned what colors came in what body styles/trims.

All sedan needles are amber (98-02), coupe needles are amber for MY's 98-00 & then red needles for coupe MY's 01-02

Ok. That's what i was wanting to know, lol. Thanks. I was hoping the yellow was a factory thing.

+1 he's got it correct. You can swap out just the needles if you want but I wouldn't recommend it...

I have an '02 EX sedan & am not a huge fan of the amber needles. From what I have gathered from reading various posts on this site it looks like it would be easier (and safer) to just swap out the sedan instrument cluster with an 01/02 coupe cluster, as compared to messing round with repainting/replacing the needles.

FYI - I was driving in the fast lane on the 5 freeway in Santa Ana on Sunday night when a guy in an '02 coupe pulled up next to me in the carpool lane. I slowed down a bit so I was perfectly positioned in his C-pillar to get a grandstand view of his beautiful red gauge needles. I must have driven that way for five miles! Weird, I know... :)
