Steering wheel shakes bad while braking at high speeds

I had the same exact problem and the steering wheel-shake got annoying especially having to commute 60 miles a day to school. Also, my brakes were squeeking pretty loud too so a couple months back, I got my rotors resurfaced and got brand new brake pads (Wagner ThermoQuiets). I went easy on the brakes for the first 2 weeks to prevent the rotors from "warping" and it never shaked again and it's quiet now **knock on wood** lol

Hopefully the rotors will last for a while..

Yup, resurfacing does work. I've been running my resurfaced rotors for 2k-3k with pretty last minute braking and no warping yet. Only reason I got them resurfaced is cause I know a guy so I got a pretty nice deal . After hearing reviews from everyone about those pads, I might get them Davis. Probably after summer though.
