I was looking at their selection of parts for stock exhausts, and I came upon something that had me a little confused.

http://tasauto.com/Product/Browse.aspx?d=980&p=1

on that page they have the intermediate pipe that connects to the cat and the muffler listed at two different prices, with a noticeable amount of money in between imo.

here's one: http://tasauto.com/Product/Detail.aspx?s=2818228&d=980&p=1

here's the other: http://tasauto.com/Product/Detail.aspx?s=523105&d=980&p=1

one of them says it's a genuine honda replacement part, the other says "made to exact factory specifications with better than OE quality"

for that price difference, how legit is that statement? has anyone ever bought a stock exhaust system from them?

because you'd have to be an idiot to buy the $200 one frankly, if it's all the same.

"made to exact factory specifications with better than OE quality" is just a fancy way of saying aftermarket. i've bought several things from them for tune ups and never had an issue with quality. never bought an exhaust tho

yeah see that's what I'm wondering.

I'm going back to stock exhaust for a little while and I just need that piping, I have everything else from the original exhaust.

I even cleaned up the muffler today, it was like brown with rust before.

I have to agree, I've been really happy with anything I've gotten from them before.

Guess I'll just get the less expensive one then.

I mean it's just some piping and a resonator so it shouldn't have any major problems if they're offering it.

I had to get one of the flanges re-welded and I thought I could trust the person's work from the shop, but he ended up getting welding material all over the bolts to the flange of the test pipe so the catback is literally welded to the test pipe.

then after about 8 months more of driving, the damn leak started again.

THEN I got an exhaust warning ticket a couple weeks ago.

so frankly, I'm just fed up. When I get the parts together for my manual swap eventually, I'll get a new catback.

I'm just gonna run intake and header with stock exhaust, but I cleaned up the exhaust system itself so it's super shiny and doesn't look like crap.

so yeah, there we go :lawl:
