When are you going fro 1-2k? No 4 cyclinder car i've ever driven has power down their. Just downshift.

i use my 1st gear from rpm 1k to 2,5k , than i shift to 2nd gear , the rpm should be between 1k - 1,5k , then i accelerate again , on this 2nd gear i feel the acceleration very slow , like the engine is not strong enough , but after pass 2k rpm , the acceleration is so quick...

sorry if i compare this accord to evo >.< , i'ts not fair ... , i did have 6th gen accord too , my last accord before this one was 1999 built , 1st 6th gen accord avaiable here >.<, i feel this symptom too ...

so , nothing i can do to improve it right ? except swap engine ? :p
so , how about improving the gas economy / gas milage ?
any suggestion ?

thanks for your reply guys :)

Our cars get pretty good mileage as it is. Just laying off the throttle so much, I noticed a good increase in mileage.

Also, I don't drive over 70mph on the highway either. I never use A/C, and the windows go up past 55mph.

I don't know any 4 banger that does well in the rpm range you are talking about. Even turbo cars can't spool a turbo (usually, depending on turbo size) at this range so they are even worse than accords. My talon had zero power till atleast 2k. I just think you are aiming for the wrong thing trying to make power that low. I'm sure something could give you a small gain at the cost of power up top where it should be.

yea, i have all my torque available to me at 1800rpm and up. so i guess im within the range, even tho im at the end of it, hahaha.
Yeah, but what about 1k? And vw's are one of the only car manufactures that have turbos that spool at that rpm range. Even my talon with a t25 didn't spool till around 2300. And the bigger the worse. And factory turbo cars usually have no power compared to a similar sized engine off boost due to low compresson, etc.

my stock honda F23A1 have poor acceleration performace from RPM 1000 - 2000 , it's bother me if i drive it on heavy traffic street ,
what can i do to improve it ?
and , any resource on improving gas milage guys ?

thanks
downshift, duh :D

if you want gas mileage, shift at 2.5k like you are, and drive slow.
if you want more power, you need to open up the throttle a bit and let it rev higher.

there's not really any point on doing any "mods". the power you want is there,
you just have to rev higher (ie. downshift) to get it.

hell, i hate trying to pass unless i'm above 4k :D
