I was asking whoever put all the silver matting in. But also I'm wondering if the trunk lid made the sub louder as well.

Thnx....np at all glad i could help out my fellow 6thgeners.....but we have the same prob with the caprices dwn here in the MIA...lol

That's funny. If there were ever a reason to run a red light, that would be it. No one should have to bear sitting in traffic listening to body panels rattling incessantly.

That would be me, but as I said before, don't have the system in yet, so nothing to report until next year......

Does anyone besides me have any trouble with their spoiler rattling? That seems to make the loudest rattle for me and I have that thing cranked down tight too

where does the spoiler rattle?

mine, you could hold the brake light tight and it would go away. so i unscrewed the lens cover, and put some thin pieces of foam inside where it touched the spoiler. solved it straight away, and free since i had some foam already.

loosen the nuts like 2 turns then lift up on the spoiler a little (with the trunk closed and the music on, of course). then move it up and down and see if the rattle comes back.

there's supposed to be a foam pad on each side...it was a TSB by honda back in the day...people said the spoiler was rubbing through the paint on the trunk so honda fixed it with the pads. i could see mine were ripped and sticking out, so i went to the dealership, and after some "wtf?" moments from them, got a new pair.

it could also be the wiring inside the spoiler for the brake light...
