Meguiars all wheel cleaner is good or I just use simple green

This. If you use simple green don't let it sit too long. I just used it on my moms exploder and it left a slightly green stain (nothing terribly noticeable) where it sat on the lip. Still looks better than the brake dust that was caked on there.

Yup.

What I do is spray the wheel with water and then the simple green. Let it sit for 20 seconds or so and then spray with water then wipe with cloth

Eagle's detailing products are meh. Though it shouldn't be too difficult to remove brake dust from an OEM rim, unless it has sat there awhile and got baked in.
