listen to skrillex, they said
it wont clip your woofers, they said

why would these idiots release a song that is this dirty. this right here is why woofers blow. if you got big $$ in your stereo, u should be aware of **** like this. alot of mainstream songs out there have this issue and its frustrating. they turn up the gains and clip the whole song so it will "bump" harder.

sorry had to vent lol

The producers did that?

Maybe whoever is playing the song should have their gains set lower to compensate?

isnt it all on your personal gains? i mean if your gains are all set properly, you'll just hear the dirty dirty through your own speakers, but just the sound, not the actual damaging aspects

Your gains can be set appropriately but if the songs gains are too high then I negates your settings and can damage it.

Still isn't a big deal. Just adjust your EQ settings and bass settings when a damaging song comes on

the gain (dB) level was 2.5db (i think 2.5 or 2.9 cant remember) too high when i threw it in audacity. basically it had to be amplified down a whole 2.5db to remove the clipping. red = bad in audacity. clipping will toast speakers. they released this song without even looking if there was clipping in their track. basically ignorant producers that dont really care about their product

edit: alot of lil wayne's music is like this. and people wonder why their subs blow. lil wayne + amp that hasnt been dd1'd + high volume = death for a speaker

edit2:

nyutuc.png

this means the song has to be amplified down 2.7 db to be clip free.

all im saying is be careful if you have money invested into a nice sound system, there are songs out there like this that are murder for your equipment
