Switchback LEDs

Yeah, the amber lights definitely look good how they are.

I just wanted to do something a little different. And without the bottom strip, it doesn't look like anything special, but keep in mind I'm still waiting to put in my LED strips. White LED strips + White LED corner lights should look good.

i just unplugged my bottom strip, haha. i got sick of it. actually, once i do a new set of headlights, im just gonna paint the bottom strip black and put it back in.

The rear turn signals can be amber or red.
Tail lights/rear marker lights can only be red.
Front turn signals can only be Amber.
Front parking lights/marker lights can be white or amber.

Yea that sounds about right! haha, i think arizona just have weird laws where they allow white signals here. I think they just want to be special.

But anyway, Kevin those switchbacks are great!! i'm thinking about getting a pair myself.

Well if it ain't my switchback brother, Kevin lol. So which ones did you end up going with? The 20? The 30? Or did you wait just long enough to find out those SOB's came out with a 48 for only $2 more than the 30 lol.

Yeah, I bet yours carry a bit more light in the daytime, because you still have your reflectors in your corners. It's a lil different when it's all black.

Never been a fan of the amber lights, although one day I may change my mind, never been stopped though for the lights being white.

Not a fan of the yellow lights either, although everyone is saying I should go with teh yellow HID kit for the fogs.

Hey guys, I'm bumping this old thread because the title is more relevant than posting in the "other" switchback thread.

For those of you who don't like how the Switchback LED's look during the daytime (they are whitish and stand out) there is a solution. Mask off each individual LED with tiny squares of masking tape, and then spraypaint the entire bulbs black. Looks MUCH better inside the housings. It's tedious but well worth it. I just did this last night.

Anyways, I take no credit for this at all, I actually saw it on Carrie's TL last week at the Azine TL meet. Justin helped her to do it, too.... I just wanted to let you know because some people are turned off by the way the LED's look when not turned on. Well now that look MUCH slicker.
