taking apart cruise control button...

What exactly do you mean by "taking it apart"? To take it out you need to remove the coin tray and the screw behind it. Then carefully remove the vent and buttons. Remove the wire harness from behind the button. Then the button itself is just held in by two clips on each side.

i actually meant the button itself... figured it out myself though:

1) remove the two springs on the top and bottom that hold it in the panel
2) dremel out the four hooks holding the outer housing in place

it'll slide off then you can get unhook the other latches on top and bottom to get into the guts

I dont remember it being that labor intensive. I think I just popped mine out w/ a flat head screwdriver and then unhooked the harnesses from it.

LED replacement? I don't remember it being that difficult to get to when I replaced mine either...

Drift on EH had his nitrous hooked up tht way... sorta. the tilt was the purge and the open/close was suppose to be the remote opener. i was gonna do somthing similar but got way too lazy to actually doit.

^^^made me crack up mid cal II class...

NIN wins... replaced bulbs w/ 5mm leds (i managed to cram 3 in the moonroof!)
