Hey guys.. I just got a letter in from the DMV requesting I go get my car smog checked!! AHH maybe I'm just freakin out for nothing, but I think my car is a little low... do you think I can actually do a smog with my drop?

depends on where you live...i know around the southeast they don't give a flip how low you are...
haha I don't care if the people care. I'm more worried bout getting onto the smog check thing itself. I'm just paranoid that if I go head on, it'll take off my bumper, etc etc, will there be any physical issues?

Is the smog check on a dyno thingy? In IL they just plug something into the OBD and run several tests with a scanner. Takes about a minuet, thats it.

I know in Jersey, you don't necessarily have to go through the state for inspection. You can go to a private gas station

Well, since you have coilovers, why not just raise your car for the smog check then lower it afterwards?
I'm not worried about regulations or anything, I'm worried bout killing my car climbing onto the dyno. Well it's PITA to raise my car just so I can do a smog. I guess I acn try to find a place that doesn't use a dyno?

You shuoldnt have a problem getting it smogged. Most shops just drive up onto a dyno. Here in Southern Cali, we just worry about passing the visual LOL
