Another update, something is definately wrong, I just have to figure out what LOL!!! I have a rough idle only after I back the car up and drive it back into the parking spot. If I let it sit it idles fine no problems. Damn I wish I had a timing light on me. The code 22 makes really no sense unless the Vtec sylinoid was starving for oil (possible high G turn with max RPM). I'm seriously considering driving it to my aunts and let it sit until I can get some time to figure this whole thing out. First thing I'm going to check is the idle air control and a few other things that can cause rough idle. I'm still conviced its bent valves but I'm going to check all the other stuff first be for I pull the head. I'll keep you posted

man what are you people doing in Ohio killing your cars? Drew wrecks the Supra, Greg...I dunno what he broke...now your H22?

that's gotta be a bummer...well good luck with it

lmfao, well guess what, I can now laugh becuase ohio is a superstar on this forum.

I total the supra, greg spends 2 months on his car without knowing whats wrong with it lol, now you kyle, wtf man! i thought your car was cool man, good ole h22, nothing ever hurt it, but nooooo, you gotta make ohio a more popular state to live in. places where you see exotic wrecks, exotic accords, damn what else could you get?

I've seen more nice accords in my town that have seen me but have not replied on the site. I dont know whats up, but ohio is made for accords.

Its not, busted valves, been doing massive emails this evening to get to the bottom of this. I just thought I had a glimmer of hope. Its all gone though. I think I going to do a compression test and probably a leak down test just to make absolutely sure. I would hate to spend a day pulling the head just to find out nothing is wrong with it. Well so much for my Mugen wheels I was saving for, I will just have to wait another year.

Nice Accords??? in Ohio???? Have I been absent that long? Who has the exotic accord I wanna see this thing!!! For all the rice and trash in Canton, its nice to hear its changing even though I havn't see it yet.

Typically a 22 will be because you're low on oil, and without enough oil, the VTEC system doesn't create enough oil pressure to push the locking pin through the rocker arms-- it's like drinking an empty drink with a straw.

valve timing pressure switch valve timing - name of the part

Change your oil. Guarantee this goes along w/ your mysterious oil leak you've had and not bent valves. You'd know for sure if you had bent valves.

Best bet - do a compression test and check the timing.

i was actually tempted to mention oil earlier but didn't want to sound stupid, because you seemed pretty convinced it was your valves. that'd be one hell of an easy fix if you just needed an oil change haha

you cannot have 16 valve bent... only the ones where the pistons has been on top of the combustion chamber will be bent. and depend if the piston has been in the exhaust or intake mode, you will have only 2, if you're lucky, bent valve. The 4 valves weren't dowm at the same time.

I came to this conclusion not 4 hours ago until I went out and moved the car a couple of times (around a parking lot) and then idle started bouncing from 600 to 1000 rpms. If I give the car a bit of gas, and let off a couple of times eventually it will fall on its face. So I about 90% sure whats wrong.

Just tell that to my buddy who over revved his H22 Accord in Georgia. He bent all the valves in his head. I'm not saying I bent 16 but it is possible.

Its impossible to bend 16 valves, I dont care who you are or what valvetrain components you have or how high you rev, its impossible. You'll spin a bearing or bend a rod before you manage to damage all 16 valves. Hell, the valve will drop before that happens.

1-2 at the most. Listen for some ticking.
