Can they pull you over for random inspections like that? If not, IB that is why the charges were dropped.

My motivation for fighting the ticket was because I felt like I was being harassed when they were joking around about me. I don't see how that shows professionalism. Don't get me wrong, I have high respect for cops. It's the prejudice ones that I am concerned of.
If I was being pulled over for speeding, a rolling stop, etc. and they wanted to see what was under my hood, I would understand. I feel like some cops abuse their authority and power. Then again, their just doing their job right? I mean, my car is low and I did have a carbon fiber hood and I did have a JDM sticker. Anyways, like I said before in my last thread when I posted about this; I felt like I was being profiled, that's why I took on the case.
Thanks

I'm glad everything worked out and you didn't have to shell out all that cash.

hah! you were acquitted on that? nice dude!

btw NEVER say that its ok with you for them to look under the hood. There is absolutely NO law saying they can force it upon you. Most people just break under the pressure when asked because they don't understand what's about to happen, well...what's about to happen is you're about to be owned and its not necessary if you realize their bluster after pulling you over is a show of force to deter you from future "criminal" acts even if you've only committed some really simple offense.

Sometimes they don't ask, they just do it. personally after my past experiences i have almost no respect for the cops in my area at least. Me and some friends got pulled over for no reason and i actually got ripped out of my car without knowing why, and i'm not exaggerating this. We even asked why we got pulled over and the pigs just told us to shut the f*ck up and upon hearing that we did. Short guy with small head on a power trip. so after an hr and 1/2 he called me up and said here's your ticket and i was like "for what??????", and he said for running the stop sign back there. And i was like, "Are you serious, i waited for like 3 secs because you were parked 15ft infront of me staring at me." i then asked to see his dash cam to show him but it was an unmarked car that didn't have one. I ended up going to take pics of the intersection and it turns out that there wasn't even a stop sign for where the ticket was for so the judge dismissed the case.

The fact that they even let these idiots (and they are idiots...don't defend them) carry firearms and let them wave power around like a toy is a disturbing truth about life. Its just a game of chance pretty much every day you set foot into a car, you never know when some dick cop needing to help his quota and having a worse day than you is going to give you a share of their crappy day for ****s and giggles later back at the station.

I've been in jail before, I know what they're like off duty and on...and they're all people I could just never be friends with simply because of their career choice. That's how I feel about it. You want to uphold duty and honor, you go sheriff a small tightly knit town in the midwest where individual people know you make a difference. You want to show off and pretend like you're a soldier (or can't remember the difference) you become the kind of cop I see every day in my county. I have more respect for the equipment they use than them.

Yeah, last time I got cited for my modified emmissions the cop was nice to ask and see under my hood but I seriously didn't think he'd know squat... well, he did. Pointed it out the obvious and cited me for that.

So long tinted windows and shinny can exhaust, haven't been messed with since, knock on wood! I should remove that AEM decal though... lol.
