id call the previous owner and ask them if they had the timing belt done. cuz first off, its not something cheep, or if you choose to diy, its not easy, to replace. and second, if it breaks, youre ****ed. the blets that you see exposed in your engine bay, are the drive belts, the timing belt, you mosty likely wont be able to see. i have a 4 banger, and i know i cant see it, but idk about the v6s, but my guess is you cant. this def isnt the noise, but hows the tranny? id ask the last owner if they ever had the replaced as well.
