How do I post a picture?
This one is pretty easy.
1. Simply go to: http://www.imageshack.us/
2. From there you will see a small blank area and to the right of it is the "Browse" button. Click "Browse" and locate the picture on your computer, select it, and press "Open".
3. Click "Host It".
4. From there you will be presented with a page containing lots of URL and HTML type lines. Select the entire first line which looks somewhat like this:
Example: [IMG ]http://img28.exs.cx/img28/2899/CobraDecal2.jpg[/IMG ]
(I had to put a space after the G's in the [IMG ] and [/IMG ] part so that an image would not actually show up. The line that you will copy will not have this.)
5. Copy that line and simply paste it in your post where you want your image to be
you can also use a site like imgur.com.
- sign up
- upload picture(s)
- copy the link and paste it into your thread.
for youtube videos, you can embed them with the [youtube] [/ youtube] brackets. (there's a space in there so it will display in this text, but when you post one, there should be no space between the slash and 'youtube')
- go to the video on youtube
- copy the text after 'v=' in the web address
- paste copied web address text between [youtube] brackets
example:
if this is your video link -> youtube.com/watch?v=oC7hfEQnPoO, you copy the 'oC7hfEQnPoO' part at the end and put it between the [youtube] brackets, just like when posting a picture.
