How do I post a picture?
This one is pretty easy.
1. Simply go to: http://www.imageshack.us/
2. From there you will see a small blank area and to the right of it is the "Browse" button. Click "Browse" and locate the picture on your computer, select it, and press "Open".
3. Click "Host It".
4. From there you will be presented with a page containing lots of URL and HTML type lines. Select the entire first line which looks somewhat like this:
Example: http://img28.exs.cx/img28/2899/CobraDecal2.jpg
(I had to put a space after the G's in the and part so that an image would not actually show up. The line that you will copy will not have this.)
5. Copy that line and simply paste it in your post where you want your image to be

you can also use a site like imgur.com.
- upload picture(s)
- copy the link and paste it into your thread.

for youtube videos, you can embed them with the [/ youtube] brackets. (there's a space in there so it will display in this text, but when you post one, there should be no space between the slash and 'youtube')
- go to the video on youtube
- copy the text after 'v=' in the web address
- paste copied web address text between brackets

example:
if this is your video link -> youtube.com/watch?v=oC7hfEQnPoO, you copy the 'oC7hfEQnPoO' part at the end and put it between the brackets, just like when posting a picture.

Also, any forum member can upload as many pics as they would like to at http://freehosting.6thgenaccord.com , which is meant only to be used by forum members. Please do not abuse this site, its meant as a convenience for 6thgenaccord.com members so that they have an easy place to put pics/vids, etc

Re: Tips on how to post pics

Hopefully you can help me. I'm not able to see any photos in the forums. I see a box saying "update your account to enable 3rd party hosting" any idea what I need to do? Thanks in advance.

any photo hosted on photobucket no longer shows up unless the account holder agrees to pay photobucket money. Unfortunately, almost every photo on every forum is hosted from photobucket. so...almost all photos are gone
