the problem with rolling is that you'll be ridiculously slow and everyone is going to cut you off. these things make sense, but they are not practical to real driving situations. i've done that and let my car roll cause i knew the light was coming up red and i got cut off b y 5 people and honked at.

It depends on how slow you go, where you live, etc. I do it all the time but i'm in a suburban area as well. And obviously it's hard to drive normal, much less like a gramma in areas where everyone drives like an asshole.

Ya, couldn't do that in N. Canton, lol... But in Woo-town, anything's possible (even the Saturn Coupe dropped, rims, huge wing etc. that I saw this morning on my way home... )

Quick tip.
-The hotter the engine is, the more you save gas.
Cold air=More hp=Use lots of gas.
Hot air=Less hp=Save gas

sorry to bring up an old thread, but this last part confuses me.

how is combusting warm air going to make your car more efficient?

many 'performance' upgrades can be used to help fuel economy (if you don't drive like a racecar).

anything that will increase the amount of energy you can extract from a given amount of fuel will increase gas mileage.

if i'm mistaken, someone please correct me.

- kinda true.... only way this can happen safely is to play with the air/ fuel ratio... u'll want to lean it out (less fuel) to make the engine run hotter and make more power. So, i guess tht indirectly = less gas used

Cold air=More hp=Use lots of gas.
- false. more hp doesn't = more gas. forgot exactly what the reason behind this, but cold air = more dense = more efficient combustion = less gas used (kinda)

Hot air=Less hp=Save gas
- false. see cold air explaination

I'd like to see some proof of this...if the computer sees more/denser air, it's going to feed more gas

I get terrible gas mileage....Maybe because I drive like a mainiac. At least I thought I did, untill I saw some of these NC drivers.
