I already have a set of xxr 962 18x9.5r 18x8.5f for my 99 sedan. My question is what tire size should i run? The rims were purchased with 245/40/18 rears and 225/40/18 fronts i already know that the rears are too big. I have a pair of 235/40/18 tires chillin in my backyard off a set of old rims i had. Has anybody used this size on the rear? My only other option is to purchase a pair of 215/45 or 215/40 for the front and move my 225s to the back. But i really dont have the extra cash atm. Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't even try the 235s unless your ready to do some serious fender work. I think your best bet would be to move the 225s to the back and buy some 215s for the front.

If you're short on cash, I'd give the 235/40s a try...you may be surprised. I'd assume you'll be rolling the rears already anyways, and with that grinder you should have a good chance of eliminating most/all of the rubbing issues. Go for it man.

Bottom line is if he wants to save money, he can make them fit.
