I was thinking 215/50?

Looking for that stretched look/stance...

i wouldnt even try the 225, i would str8 go 235 or 245... 225 is for tires up 2 8 inches wide...

215 should be good for stretched on them. They might not stretch too much on the 8" though.

Yep 225 series takes up to a 9" wide so you can do 225/ or 235 and 215 if you want the stretched look.

Is stretching even safe?

His point was what sized tire can he use to get the "stretched" look. Not what sized tire would fit nicely on it.

Anything "risky" is deemed not safe in my book.

I have 225 on my 8" and its a little stretched but I think 205 would stretch nicely on a 8". It would be about the same as 215 on a 9".

Wouldn't a stretch tire show more of the lip of the rim though?
