Anyone ever owned Coopers? I haven't, but saw a set at the shop tonight, RS3A's (all seasons). Just reading up on them now. The RS3-S's are the summer version.

So after reading a bit, Dunlop is not inspiring confidence. Their SP Sport 01’s and SP Sport 2050’s have seemingly gotten consistently bad reviews. I don’t normally put much stock in tire reviews since most people are idiots, but what I’m reading is pretty consistent, and so I can’t get it out of my head now. Sucks because I found these tires almost new, for $500 and $450, respectively.

The Falken 912’s are tempting because they run narrower (section width is 8.9”), but they are so cheap…not sure how good of a tire they are actually are for the money?

I’m also considering Continental….either ExtremeContact DWS (9”) or DW (9”). Kevin, you mentioned some Conti’s run narrower, either of these?

I own a set of Yoko’s now, Avid EnVigors…not impressed with the grip.

I work at a shop that sells a lot of tires. I have 912s on my stock 15s They are ok, but not very grippy. I went with 225 50 15s since they are the widest that will fit. I've had good life out of them, have had at least 4 full sets including the old 512s. I used to use Hankooks on my Lexus and my wife's 7th gen. until they discontinued the K104s. Have had good grip with K106s too. And I have mounted several V12s on customer cars. I have Bridgestones on my Lexus now, since I work for Bridgestone/Firestone and got a good deal on some RE760s. They are nice, but expensive.
The V12 Hankooks would be my choice with custom wheels.

It's funny you guys dog on Hankook, I've had Hankook V2's 215/45/17 stretched on my old 17x9 xxr's and i'm thoroughly impressed with how they've held up since i first got them stretched. Never a bubble, unbead incident, leak, etc over the whole year i've had them. (Even though for alot of that i was riding on my eurolines) Only thing is they did always seem to be a little beefy like i was running a 225 instead. Oh well no complaints!
