saying things to the extreme of "F*** v6p, F*** vtecv6, your a piece of **** and I know I'm better then you. I'll give you a real reason to ban me." Etc and so on. Upon my "temp ban" expiration, I was informed that I was now permanently banned, and when I confronted VtecV6 about this, he fowarded me all the posts I made on this forums. - Mike Pignataro.

Well, From an admin point of view^^^^^ would piss me off and you'll be banned 4ever.
But, if you publically made an apology (just like you made a public bash) your ban would be lifted for a probationary period. Which mean, for a certain period of time you will be under the microscope. Any type of infraction would reinstate your permanent ban with NO exception.
HOWEVER, it will also depend upon other things

Reason for the initial ban
the board
mods/admins
type of person you are
contribution to the board

If you made nothing but trouble (continuous insults, bashing, posting in wrong forums) then it is unlikely your ban will be lifted .

But if the majority of your posts were positive, helpful, constructive, then all of that should be taken into consideration.
But, like I said each board is run differently.
Everyone deserves a second chance depending upon the reason for the ban

First thing that should be done (I hope others are reading this) is to acknowledge that they have received your correspondence and respond.
Whether they say:
we have received your e-mail and we will not be lifting your ban
OR
we have received your e-mail and we have not made a decision whether to lift your ban or not. we will contact you shortly
As least you will know what's going on and not be left in the dark.
If they're simply trying to ignore you and blow you off or something, that's pretty childish.
