torque head specs? and valve lashes?

anyone know what the head torque spec and valve lashes are for a 98 accord LX?

31 views and no replies? i just need the head stud torque specs... i just torqued my head to 65lbs but just read a few places that said 72lbs...

U should buy a haynes manual. The head has to be torqued in progressive 1/4 turn steps to reach its final torque setting. Additionally u need to torque studs in order of the manufactures specifications.

Valve lash and other info can be found in a haynes manual. No one really memorizes torque settings unless they've removed hundreds of cylinder heads.

There is a very good write up in the DIY section on "valve clearance" didn't search for head torque, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was one for that too.

My service manual says 22 ft/lbs., do all ten bolts in sequence (start in the middle front to middle back, work your way from the center alternating front to back) and then tighten each bolt another 180 degrees. If you're using new bolts, its 270 degrees.
