Always a bad idea to flush a Honda tranny, unless Honda does it. Something about the flushing machine reversing its flow and sending particle back into the accumalators and clogging them...

Youre fine to do a drain and refill of the fluid though, which will probably be the best option.

Never, ever, ever, ever flush a tranny. Drain it and fill it, only with Honda ATF fluid. Remember to replace the crush washer also w/ OEM HONDA.

If you can afford it drain it and fill it w/ every oil change.

Thats like $18-24 extra per oil change.. Every 3-6,000 miles? Thats a serious chunk of change. Just do it every 6 months or yearly, thats what I did when I had an AT.

From what I've read there is a defect in our sh** trans, so you could drain/refill every day and still fail with low miles. FWIW I do one drain/refill a year to keep the fluid looking new.
