So, I'm looking to get f/r lips for my car and I've been looking around and seems that there are some front/side/rear parts that are transferable between coupe and sedan and between different year models, but I'm trying to get some confirmation. I figured i'd make a whole thread in case there's someone else out there a little confused like me.
This is what I have so far:
-> The 98-00 coupes use the same front lips BUT 01-02 coupes have something slightly different. Can you make an 98-00 front lip work on 01-02 coupe? What about the whole front bumper?
-> Coupe front lips WILL work on sedans and sedan lips WILL work on coupes. Is there a year/model restriction with this?
-> Sedan skirts can work on a coupe, but w/ modification. However, in the interest of cleanliness/non-riceyness this should be avoided unless you have the money/knowhow to really make it work.
-> Coupe skirts would just look stupid on a sedan.
-> 98-01 coupes use the same rear lip but 02 is lone man out??? Can you just not make a 98-01 rear lip work on an 02?
-> Sedan rear lips WILL work on a coupe but it'll take some doing (apparently cutting in half and fiberglassing).
I got an 02 coupe so I'm a little biased. If you sedan guys feel like weighing in on all the subtle nuances of ur ride feel free. And if anybody's selling lips/skirts hit me up!
