Since you have the warranty, you're good, but I don't think the I4 really have any tranny issues. I have yet to put mine on, but from what I have read, alot of people are big fans of the cooler.

I got the B&M tranny cooler on my car. I am very glad I got mine in. The car shifts smoother than it ever did before and its a little relief knowing that it can help extend the life of my auto TRAJIC tranny. Its a pretty easy mod, and you can also add a tranny filter too. I didn't get the filter put on because I am too lazy to replace it every 10k miles tho.

I am putting my B&M supercooler (part # bmm-70264) in along with a B&M remote trans filter (part # bmm-80277). I recommend adding the filter because it increases the amount of fluid in the transmission and the accord doesn't have any oem filter. Also this will be better for the cooler to have cleaner fluid traveling through it. I will try to remember to put up some pics of the install.

as for a fan... it is not worth it. remember there is an optimal temperature range for transmission fluid and to cold can be just as bad as too hot. Recommend spending the money on a trans temp gauge and if you still are running hot then spring for the fan but odds are you won't need it.

Yup those are the parts that you need. You can get them at Summit Racing. Thats where I got my tranny cooler. Yeah its a good idea to get the filter, not a requirement, but a damn good idea. LIke I said tho, I was just to lazy to have to replace it every so often. If you get that filter you have to replace it after a while because if you don't, your going to be in a world of hurt.

i just received my trans cooler from summit racing...

im a lil confused. Im pretty sure the return line is on the right side of the car (facing car) im not sure what to connect the hose to (rad to cooler or cooler to trans) or whether im suppose to cut the hose. Also, what to do with the fittings that they gave me. Their directions are kinda wack. If any one that installed this particular model and has a v6, IM me on aim ig0tspanked
(the 0 in g0t is a zero, not a letter)

thanks in advance

Ok, so tomorrow morning, im gonna install my trans cooler. I located the two line that are going into the radiator. Im gonna disconnect the one that i think is the return line and very briefly, start my engine, then turn it off just to make sure....fluid should come out if its the return line. My question is, what do i do with the hose fittings? There are two set; one set is large and the other set is smaller. Also, does it matter which side i use as an inlet and outlet on the cooler?...i have to mount it vertically so the inlet/outlets are on the side to to space area on the radiator and horn.

Need input asap. Thanks
