I have 2 12's in my trunk and I like songs that bump. And I turned my car on and went back in side to get something and I came back and my trunk was rattling. It sounded likea machine gun and I was like dang iit wasn't even loud and I started wondering about what it sounds like when I'm jammin. Can someone give some ideas to get it to rattle less because I don't think there's a way to get it to stop

if the rear deck rattles, shove some old sheets under it so it cant rattle, i did that and worked great, you cant see it or anything. also, you can adjust the rubber stops on the trunk lid by twisting them, that helped a lot, but i still need to get some dynamat or somethin similar

There are various suggestions made about different sound deadening products on here, some of which are:

1. Dynamat
2. Fatmat
3. Brown Bread
4. B-Quiet

I may have some pics of how my trunk was done, I can post if you want.

Unfortunately I have no photos of the dampening or sound barrier in the doors, roof, rear deck or trunk lid. I've got about 1 solid layer over everything. Double layers where needed. The loudest part of my car now is my trunk lid because the outer sheet metal separated from the structural bracing in one spot. Bummer for me. That and you will never be able to make the tail lights quiet.

I'm not sure what subs, box volume, type of music, power etc., that you're running but I can tell you that a lot of bass will eventually make your interior panels rattle....annoyingly! The only brands I have personal experience with are Dynamat Extreme and Second Skin. The Dyna Extreme is great but messy as hell. I did it in the garage in my bare feet and stepped in that black tar stuff from the scraps. I got it all over the shower floor LOL! My fiance wanted to kill me! It can be found for decent prices online. Second Skin's EX owner, Anthony, recently sold the company and I haven't done business with them since. I would do some research first before making a purchase with them.

yeah you could go all out like that with the dynamat :lawl:

but really, at least a big sheet across the roof of your trunk and probably a piece behind your license plate would be good.
