Turbo Project Help

Ok so Im new to the site and about to start the process of turboing my 01 accord sedan ulev vtec 5-spd. The car has 207,xxx miles so ik its rebuild time so the engine doesn't blow. So what all needs to be rebuild and upgraded?

Also what all would I need if I had a f23a1 to swap? harness, ecu etc.

Does trans need to be rebuilt?

3000 at the most. And reason I asked bout the trans is cause I can hear something while idling when not hold the clutch and goes away when the clutch is pressed

+1. Also..

Upgrade rings, get 1000cc injectors, run a P28 or AEM EMS ECU, tune right, you should be all set to boost at least 20+ lbs safely all day.

how can you make this ecu think sensors are ok/not try to correct fuel trim?

I haven't looked into ecu mods now. Old trick was DSM 450cc injectors, good for ~180whp. Cut MAP voltage, so the ecu thinks less air.

If the car's dd go vafc + chip (we had a VERY mild issue with timing), smaller turbo, lower (8-10psi) boost, 450's, cheap-*** manifold and downpipe, with intake HMT style.

homemade mani & dp w/ t25, pvc conduit intake pipe, homemade h2o-to-air intercooler-oil cooler flowing water from oe resonator tank w/ boat sump pump, ~12psi/180ish whp d15

lots of work though.

ok I can get an f23a1 choice of like 3 to rebuild or use my engine that's in the car which is f23a4......which would be easier to build to turbo? car is my only transportation.

turbo original motor what u got after a tank er 2 of seafoam, to see how much oil still goes.

Go whatever you can find at the junkyard or car-part.com OEM usually = good.

Turbo mani in pic, head flange cut from oem mani. mcmaster.com supplied weld-els, turbo flange diy, whole thing was done in ~4hrs.
