So, I've decided to turbo my '00 Accord to make it sexy instead of doing an H22 swap. I've spent the last few months researching what I need to make it work, and have spent the last 3-4 weeks in correspondence with a guy called Grant over at turbokits.com.

I've been looking for reviews of their kits, and see that some of the members on this site seem to have some haterade flowing for them. Before I purchase it, I'd wouldn't mind hearing some feedback as to why this kit is good or not.

Here is the kit:

Keeping in mind that, 1) This car is my daily driver and I can't afford to spend months collecting/installing parts one at a time, 2) I've never installed a turbo before and would like to get my feet wet with a complete kit + instructions before I go building my own kit, and, 3) I'm not going to be rebuilding the motor now and would be happy with something in the 200-250 whp range (for now). :)

As far as tuning goes, I am looking at a chipped P28 ECU with the Hondata s300. There one guy in my city currently selling the combo for $700, so I am considering that as well as other internet shops. I am also looking at buying RC 450cc injectors, either from turbokits.com or from another site.

Any comments/feedback would be appreciated.

Imo way to expens ive for not even a complete kit..id recommend the treadstone performance kit.for 1300 or something..but i will tell you no kit is bolt in and go.or even plug and play..your war WILL be non driviable for atleast a week since you know nothing about doing such task.(no offense-speaking from experience being boosted 4+years now)
but let me know if you hav any questions and myself and othr turbo guys will help..but search..search and research alot. It's expensive and also expensive maintanince

way too expensive to not come with an EMS. as for the tredstone kit good luck finding one, since they told me they stopped making parts for our cars like 5 years ago when I called them about an intercooler kit and manifold. your best bet would be to piece it all together while you do more research. monty's right though since you've never done a turbo build before your car's gonna be down for at least a week if not longer. good luck.

Stay the F away. I got that same kit 4 years ago and was nothing but trouble. TSI makes very ****ty kits. The down pipe didn't fit, the injectors they provide are useless, the FMU is useless.

Don't do it.

Instead piece one together and get a real ECU which can be programmed to control the engine with the new modifications. There are a lot of people here that can help. I have more or less replaced every part of the kit minus intercooler, turbo, manifold and piping. And those parts are def not worth 3k.

Then when you think you know it all... Read up on it again to make sure, and consider all possible alternative and efficiency options.
