Re: *UPDATE 6/11/14* Blackhawks' '01 Accord Coupe EX-L (56k)

Tried blackhousing headlights today. I used my defective leaky headlight as practice and it didn't turn out too bad. I did however rush on trying to pry the silicone glue off, resulting in my breaking a few clips (I can't rush!) Once I got the pieces separated the rest was easy from there. Used VHT Gloss Black High Heat Paint and did 4 coats 10 min in between each coat. However, I sprayed too much in some areas, resulting in paint bubbles on the housing. Will use these pointers to avoid damage on the real one. I might even try it on my faded OEM ones too just so I know I won't have problems. Currently siting overnight with Permatex Ultra Black Silicone sealing it up. Will be doing a water/leak test tomorrow to see how I did! For pictures, check out my Instagram!

Blue wheels on an accord? Who in their right mind would do such a thing? :lawl:

A+ for fun. Would have bought some blank caps or extra OEM caps and painted them too though.

It's plastidip so he could just spray them and remove the color whenever

Up close it doesn't look too good. The can recommended a white base coat (probably to hide wheel imperfections) and since I have left over cans I think when this stuff is on it's way out I will do it over with a white base coat. Thanks for the great feedback guys!
