Nothing special here, this build has been done before, so I'm basically just gonna throw some pics up here and there. No camera at the moment, so they're all from cell phone, sorry.
Anyway, I picked up NASOHC's PnP F23 head...
Gonna match it up with this H23 IM that's been sitting my garage for years
Picked up a BBK 70mm TB for dirt cheap off craiglist so decided to put it to use. Here it is compared to stock (70mm is on the right)
Dropped the TB and IM plenum off at Dover Cylinder Head today to get it port matched to stop the air from smackin up against that ridge (and to pretty much make me a slow version of AFAccord's car
)
My only goal here is to make up for that 17% loss of power I got by driving an automatic. By the end of this I plan on being about as fast as a stock 5spd
To answer the obvious... I'm still an auto because my tranny died, couldn't get the swap done in time, and can't be without a car due to work. So now I've got a brand new auto tranny with <5k miles on it to beat the hell out of until its time for a 5spd swap. I found an AEM FIC I may be able to pick up for pretty cheap, so i'm gonna tune with that if I can get it. If not, i'm just gonna throw a little more fuel into the mix and wait it out til i can do the 5spd swap. Not expecting any big results here, just tired of having a completely stock motor.
