I'll be starting at uti in april and i was wondering who goes to uti and who is around the area. I already met namboyz last week when i was down there, loved his car. Who else is in the area?
i graduated for uti houston i say this cuz in my experience it was usfull knowlege but completely usless most employers wat experience and well they cant help u with that
i suggest keep ur money and put it toward tools and get in a shop as a helper after 3 years ul have enough tools and experiece to be a body man or painter
if u go to uti ul spend alot of money just to be in same possition- a helper tryn to get experiece and tools buut ull have a student loan to keep u from getting tools as fast and tool trucks usally dont care that ur bills are alot and dont have that 50 per week to thro at tools
helpers get about 10 per hour here and just to give insight i have about 6k i owe toward tools and still need more tools
side note uti doesnt give u shyt worth of tools , wont even be a 1/8 of wat u need just to start off
if u was goin for auto mech then id say it be worth it
thanks for the heads up but im also doing this because i havent been able to get a job in any auto industry stuff. I've been stuck making chicken wings and pizzas for the last 9 months so i figured i'll just go to school instead and it'll hopefully be better after. And i want to learn how to do body work so i can fix and paint my own car.
up to u, i can understand that, they do have placement after school and during
just thought id tell u before hand so u dnt go in blind
good luck and stay motivated
key things to get is the cheif cert. , dupount cert.,
make sure to pick tha brains of instructors on stuff they dnt teach like how it get runs out, how to blend clear and any shortcuts they may know but not required to teach there is alot of them out there
