Ive searched and searched, and i cant find exactly what im looking for.

I have a 99 V6. its going into the shop monday for the trans, headers, valve adjustment, and trans cooler.

When i get it back, i want to do a single outlet exhaust setup, and im looking for the best route to go. i want 2.5" to a 3" no name dual tip. A buddy of mine has a Random Technology cat that we think may fit, we havent lined it up yet, but if it does its mine.

Here's the real question i guess, how far off is the 4cyl exhaust from the 6cyl? if i got a cheap 4cyl exhaust for the piping and what not, will it fit? my goal with the car is to clean it up and drop it fairly low and have it sound mean and look clean.

Suggestions please?

its reeeeaaaly not close. I bought a 4cly setup for 200 and spent an extra 80 making it work. There is no way to make it work like it is. welding will have to be done. I didn't listen to the people on here who said it wouldn't work, and it cost me extra money. You are better off having them cut it off behind the cat and building a custom setup, and then welding on w/e muffler you like.

They make single-canister v6 exhaust. Ive been looking around lately and ive come aross a few. Why not just find a muffler you like and have the pipe custom bent/welded. Really shouldnt cost you more than $100 to have the whole thing bent, welded and installed.

I have a Greddy Evo for sale. It can ether be used for a 2or 4 door, you can ether make it duel or single I have all the piping that comes with it. I am asking 650.00 O.B.O + shipping if need be.

Matt (allGOnoSHOW) converted his V6 dual to a single, so he may have some advice.

if you want to go from dual to single a good choice is just going to a shop and having them custom make the piping for a dual, ive been told its less work than trying to get a i4 catback to fit

I have a V6 Sedan, went with 2.5" piping from the cat straight back to a 3"Skunk2 muffler. Sounds fantastic, and added loads of low end torque. The drone is kind of killer though. I think it's the way he did the piping.
