so i installed an vafc II on my friends f23a 4 cyl vtech accord today. i am by no means a honda guy, but have used afc's before. it was a little tricky in finding the correct pin locations going in between motoralldata and apexi's directions. most of the wires are hooked up except vtc, tdc, and vtm, now are those neccessary? and would someone be able to give a correct wiring diagram. because everything seems to be working fine other than the car throws a p1259 code and wont always rev past 3500rpms, it all depends on the engagment point of the vtech. now he was low on oil aswell havent played with it since, but i guess im asking for a correct diagram, and some settings cause they could be wrong aswell, and if i need those listed above wires connected

VTC = Not Used
TDC = Grn, C20
VTM = Blu/Blk, C10

noob question, what does the vafc2 do? whats the purpose?
and is the boomslang harness just a plug and play harness for the vafc2 so you wont have to splice wires and crap?

Yep. Boomslang harness makes these and other devices a simple plug n play affair.

VAFC2 is a tuning device that allows a user to "modify" air/fuel ratios, and control VTEC engagement. Now some will say otherwise, but the use of an air/fuel controller on most OBD2 4cyl Accords is trivial because of the design of the ECU.

OBD2 4cyl Accord ECUs are VERY adaptive, and VERY sensitive to changes, meaning they are capable of compensating for the altered signals AFC's send, and literally counteracting any gains by either retarding timing, or just throwing a CEL and going back to a static fuel map or even "limp mode".

Also, since VTEC engagement is variable on these Accords, which means there is no good point to set VTEC engagement unless the unit takes other variables into consideration, which it does not. As I said earlier, there are a ton of debates and arguments over this topic.
